The Marine Climate Centre (Centro Climatico Marino) is one of the oldest summer residences in Milano Marittima, a seaside hamlet in the municipality of Cervia (RA). The imposing neoclassical structure, dominated by a central tympanum, was built in 1927 to house orchestra musicians from Milan, but from the early 1930s it became a summer residence for the Camillian order and could house up to 300 children. It was used as a hospital for Canadian troops in WWII and later housed the Mazzini primary schools from 1946 to 1949.
Functioning until the mid 1990s, it then fell into disuse until the early 2000s when it was restructured as the location for a TV reality show about football, Campioni (2004 – 2006). It is now owned by Technogym.
