Spazio sommerso Y-40® The Deep Joy in Montegrotto Terme (Padua), is today the deepest thermal tank in the world, suitable for film, video, television and photographic shoots.
The project began with architect Emanuele Boaretto’s passion for diving and his intention to create a deep pool suitable for divers and free divers with the local thermal waters of the Regional Park of the Euganean Hills.
The temperature of the thermal water allows the structure to open daily to divers and free divers for 11 months of the year.
The tank, whose volume is suitable for a cinema set, comprises a range of platforms at different depths, an underwater stereo system, numerous hooks in the water and beams out of the water, making it possible to create a multitude of scenes and settings by positioning lights and special effects.
In addition to the tank, four rooms are available to productions for backstage areas, make up, editing, set elements, storage; the structure also offers access to video operators, photographers, models and extras, free divers and divers.
The rooms and the spacious hall are also equipped for meetings, presentations, team building, and conferences with the option of using the outdoor terraces and the underwater tunnel.
