The former Eridania sugar factory, located in the countryside of Ceggia (Venezia) near the Piavon watercourse, was an important element in the sugar industry. The complex comprises two large brick buildings with large iron windows. These buildings stand at the heart of the large estate, almost in isolation, surrounded by a large number of smaller constructions with a range of architectural characteristics: areas used for warehousing and storage, large tanks to decant water and a huge open-air area.
The former sugar factory was first active in 1936 as a distillery, later making sugar in 1950. The factory was closed and abandoned in 2001.
