Central piazza Rosmini in Rovereto (Trento) is characterized by two important architectural structures: the fountain and the Renaissance palace.
Inaugurated in 1852, the square hosts a large circular fountain established by the "Embellishment Society" in 1895; its water features offer a symbolic representation of the abundance of water to which Rovereto owes much of its economic well-being.
Behind the fountain, the Renaissance Palace of Ben - Conti d'Arco enriches the square with its presence: the large loggia that characterizes the building was decorated in the early 1900s by August Sezanne who also decorated porta San Marco and the Palazzo del Municipio at the same time. The palace now houses the Foundation of the Cassa di Risparmio di Trento e Rovereto and the Accademia degli Agiati, a cultural institution founded in 1750 by five young intellectuals.
