Piazza Municipio stands at the heart of the historic centre of Pergine Valsugana (Trento), its name deriving from the palazzo del Municipio (Town Hall), a Baroque late-17th century building with a double staircase accessing the first floor. The square is filled with restaurants and shops; during the Christmas period, markets attract tourists from all over Italy.
The bustling village of Pergine Valsugana, only kilometres from Trento, stands on the shore of the blue waters of lake Caldonazzo and is dominated by the Castle hill. The historical centre offers an evocative art-journey with the Renaissance houses of via Maier, patrician buildings and churches.
