Inaugurated in 2005, the main characteristics of the Pala Alpitour are the extreme flexibility of the spaces, its exceptional acoustics and, of course, the striking design by the internationally renowned architects, Arata Isozaki and Pier Paolo Maggiora, which has made it a symbol of third millennium Turin.
The futuristic building is a perfect parallelepiped (183m long, 100m wide and 18m high) entirely faced in stainless steel, that develops over 4 floors, including two underground at a depth of 7.5m and appears to be suspended above the ground, resting on a 5m high glass basement.
The Pala Alpitour is today a refence point for music and the performing arts in Italy. The great flexibility of its structure permits the management of art exhibitions, trade fairs, corporate conventions, private meetings, theatre performances, gala dinners etc., even all at the same time.
It officially became the largest arena in Italy in 2015 with an overall capacity of 15,657 people.
