The Teatro sociale of Trento, founded in 1819 by Felice Mazzurana, is a place of history and tradition for the city. Restructuration work by architect Giovanazzi restored the glories of the past with gilded plasterwork and neoclassical style decoration. The inauguration in 2000 was managed by the centro servizi culturali di Santa Chiara. The structure is that of an Italian theatre and it can seat 676 spectators with 302 in the stalls and 374 in boxes and gallery.
It can be accessed from Palazzo Festi, which has 6 rooms on the first and second floors suitable for meetings and conferences. The maximum capacity for the rooms – overall – is 225 people. Above the stalls, beneath the roof, a large room has a 150 capacity and can be accessed from Palazzo Festi.
