The first scene of the film is set in Jesolo: Dino’s home and tattoo parlour sits opposite Bruna’s beauty centre and both struggle to make ends meet. Hope comes along in the form of Norma Pecche, an inmate who, on her deathbed, reveals a secret to Bruna that could solve all her financial problems. And so the pair set off on a journey in search of the right chair, the one that holds a bountiful treasure.
It is a journey that takes them to the North-East, from Padua (passing through Monselice cemetery) to Abano and the Euganean Hills, and right up to the mountains of Fassa Valley, with various locations used here including Conca di Fuciade, Soraga and Trento.

Bruna is a beautician who, to top up her wages, works in a prison. Here she hears the confession of an elderly inmate on her deathbed, who tells her about treasure hidden in the padding of a chair. With the help of tattoo artist Dino, she heads north-east to find the chair in question.
