Nicola Conversa's debut film One Today at a Time is the story of Marco and Aria. Marco (Tommaso Cassissa), an anxious nineteen-year-old who should be graduating from high school but is behind in 3 subjects, has a mother who lives with her smartphone in her hand and a brother who dreams of becoming an indie singer. Aria (Ginevra Francesconi) graduated the previous year and lives every day as if it were her last. A badly memorized phone number brings Marco and Aria together, and they get to know and like each other... Marco, however, doesn't know that Aria lives one today at a time, not because she's beautiful and rebellious as she’d like to seem, but because she suffers from a degenerative disease that makes her go to sleep without knowing if there will really be a tomorrow.
Their story is set in the city of Trento: Castle Buonconsiglio; piazza Duomo, where Marco and Giulia (Federica Pagliaroli) conclude a beautiful evening; churches including the Santissima Trinità and Santa Maria Maggiore; and MUSE - Museum of Science, where Marco and Aria have their first date.
