Located in the elegant neighbourhood of Chiaia in Naples, the Palazzo Mannajuolo is one of the best examples of art deco architecture in the city. It was built in armoured concrete between 1909 and 1911 by Giulio Ulisse Arata with the engineers Giuseppe Mannajuolo (owner of the land) and Gioacchino Luigi Mellucci.
The main characteristic of the building is the central staircase which has an ellipsoid movement and is the only one of its kind in the city. The beautiful, large glass facade can be seen from Via dei Mille.
