Palazzo Malfatti-Azzolini in Ala (Trento) is a late 18th century residence with a tall and severe façade crowned with a tympanum which towers above the other buildings in piazza San Giovanni. It has four symmetrical orders of windows on either side of the entrance portal. The entrance leads to the courtyard which gives access to the stables and garden. A scenic staircase, with frescoes on the ceiling, leads to the hall on the first floor and frescoed rooms papered with precious silk.
