The ruins of the ancient Church of San Martino, perched on a steep cliff over the river Pergola, can be reached by following the “Rua di San Sebastiano” from the nearby historical centre of Brienza (PZ) and the Caracciolo Castle that looms over it.
The 7th century church was probably the first place of worship in the village. It has a rectangular floor plan with a bell tower. The interior, now open to the elements, has a single nave and was originally filled with frescoes.
