Rendano in the second half of the 1800s. Located on mount Triglio, it is surrounded by a splendid garden. The three-storey building, in post-unification Tuscan Renaissance style, has a flat façade, broken only by the protrusion of the central block.
The ground floor façade is rusticated while the first and second storeys have pilasters and fascias, protruding parapets and balconies with pediments containing tympanums.
The servants’ quarters and service areas are on the ground floor while the first floor holds the library, study and reception rooms. Bedrooms are on the second floor, the piano nobile, linked together and clustered around the central staircase in the traditional “courtyard” layout. Nearly all the rooms have prestigious ceiling paintings and mosaic flooring inspired by Pompei.
Recent restoration work has recovered the original appearance of the building. Today the villa is used for cultural events, meetings and conferences.
