Palazzo Campagna in Mendicino (province of Cosenza), is situated in the Pilacco neighbourhood behind the Town Hall, in a panoramic position on a promontory. It was built from blocks of tuff rock hand dug by local labourers on commission by Carlo Del Gaudio between 1780 and 1784, as the inscription with his crest at the entrance informs. It has two stories and a loggia (added later) which overlooks a courtyard.
Giuseppe Campagna (1799-1869), poet and president of the Accademia Pontaniana di Napoli, also lived here and hosted many intellectuals of the time.
