Prati delle Pars, in Teglio Veneto (Venezia), is an excellent example of environmental reclaiming. The place was reclaimed from agricultural use thanks to enthusiastic naturalists and the contribution of researchers and experts. In 1994, the initial idea began with the donation of the first piece of land, later the municipal administration planned the requalification of the landscape in collaboration with volunteers and architect Paolo De Rocco.
Volunteers recreated tree lined meadows, hedges, a strip of lowland woods, a wetland and various fields sown with traditional crops that are now in disuse. Today Prati delle Pars extends over 40.000 sqm (and continues to increase).
