A one-kilometre stretch of the Roggia Lugugnana, which begins as a spring in Cordovado (Venezia), runs through a prevalently agricultural area to a monitoring site where it receives dark water from the urban area on the periphery of Cordovado. The course of the Roggia was deviated in 1434 as a concession from bishop Daniele Scotto to the inhabitants of Teglio Veneto (Venezia), this would later determine the residential area along the river and improve the quality of life there.
Recent reclamation work, implemented to improve the landscape, included the creation of a strip of land populated with local tree species that redesigns the course of the Roggia and highlights characteristics of the territory.
