A multifunctional space that can host meetings, exhibitions and cultural activities, the MABIC library in Maranello (MO) was designed by the Arata Isozaki & Andrea Maffei studio. With sinuous forms and transparent features, the building is reflected in the body of water that surrounds it. Wide glass surfaces give the interior a great deal of light, allowing contemplation of the green walls outside.
The MABIC library has two floors. On the ground floor is the library itself, with shelves open to young and old, a reference and a lending library, a room for the youngest children, a newspaper archive, internet stations and a small café. On the basement floor, a large room for conferences, events and other initiatives has hosted a permanent display of the fossils donated to the Municipality of Maranello by the Coppi family since October 2013.
