The Centro civico Corticella is a complex of buildings built in 1978 in the Navile neighbourhood of Bologna, designed by architect Carlo Salomoni to create a centre to supply services of excellence to a peripheral area of the city.
The centre includes city hall offices, a board room, an auditorium of 600 seats, library, health centre, gym, a mall and schools. The various services are interconnected by covered pedestrian walkways.
In over 40 years, the Centre has had various lives and in 2017 it was at the heart of a collective mural work that made it a focus of street art in Bologna. Today it is named for Lino “William” Michelini, one of the first leaders of the partisan groups in Bologna.
