Description

Approximately 15km from Siena, Monteriggioni is one of the most memorable and recognisable towns in Italy, and most of its 13th-century buildings are still standing to this day. The town’s walls are approximately 570m long, and feature 14 imposing towers. The town inside the walls is built around a large piazza, which the Church of Santa Maria Assunta looks out on.
