Palazzo Bonaccorso is the secondary location for the town hall offices of Bologna, in addition to the primary location of Palazzo d'Accursio. Built between 2006 and 2008, on the site of the previous fruit and vegetable market, the building stands out for its lean shape, its structure with three towers linked by a single roof and its glass facades.
The building overlooks piazza Liber Paradisus, dedicated to the medieval document with which Bologna first proclaimed liberation from slavery. The name of the building recalls these events because Bonaccorso da Soresina was the chief magistrate who edited the documents gathered in the Liber.
