Campo Castle, in Outer Giudicarie, stands on a spur between the rivers Duina (west) and Rezola (east), isolated by the woods and the steep banks of the two waterways at the edge of the Lomaso plain. The castle was mentioned for the first time in an official document from 1163.
The original wooden tower was later replaced by stone and masonry buildings and a first, round tower in stone around 1200. The Chapel of San Nicolò was added along with a second round tower in around 1400. The 14th century featured an infinite number of conflicts and battles. These devastations led to the almost complete destruction of Castel Campo in 1439, which was then rebuilt between 1444 and 1457.
The current building presents an intermingling of medieval and Romantic styles, with hints of neo-Gothic in the halls. The inner courtyard is particularly striking, with three orders of loggias from different eras. The portico has five large arches supported by 14th century red stone columns.
The castle can accommodate up to 100 participants at meetings and conferences, given the space provided by the courtyard (which has a rain cover), original kitchen, a frescoed room on the ground floor, the garden and two communicating rooms on the third floor.
