The Ponte Nord (North Bridge) in Parma, known also as Ponte Europa (Europe Bridge), was designed by Vittorio Guasti, an architect from Parma, and was inaugurated in 2012. Built to link the station with the headquarters of EFSA - European Food Safety Authority, the bridge crosses the river Parma and is actually little used.
The structure is 160m in length and contains a four-lane road, an open-air cycle and pedestrian path and a covered pedestrian route on the southern side. This two-storeyed pedestrian route for public use is 10-14m wide.
