The Scuola Grande San Giovanni Evangelista in Venice, headquarters of the Confraternity of St. John Baptist since 1261, is a monumental museum complex comprising versatile, open spaces in a variety of styles, offering potential locations for various film settings: the church dated to 970; the Gothic-style sala Colonne; the Renaissance staircase by Mauro Codussi (1498), and the Baroque chapter room.
The ground floor houses a lapidarium of significant historical interest, while the first floor conserves numerous paintings by Venetian artists commissioned by the Scuola over the centuries. These include Palma the Younger, Tintoretto, Tiepolo, Longhi.
The structure has a privileged location near piazzale Roma, with three water entrances, a garden and a large space with independent access (the Badoer space), in addition to a choice of rooms which range in size from very large to less spacious.
It is possible to rent equipment at the complex: Baroque, Viennese or director chairs, rectangular or round tables, table linen, modular stages and podiums.
