Dinner Club – a cooking show from Prime Video - stars good food as a pretext for telling stories about people and places. Just like David Fincher’s famous film which inspired the title, the show has rules:
The second season has four episodes and two bonus episodes (Extra Dinner Club), where the dinner companions continue to cook and reveal their experiences of travelling to find truly authentic Italy.
Episode 1 is set in Sila with Paola Cortellesi in a Panda 4x4. Managing aphrodisiac food, hard to find dishes and ancient confraternities, Paola will tackle every culinary prejudice she has. A single indigestible ingredient will continue to torment her, Cracco’s sense of humour.
Episode 2 takes the show to South Tyrol with Antonio Albanese on board an unlikely van that the actor dubs the “salami”. The journey unfolds amidst wonderful landscape, ancient dishes, waves of “essence of pine”, sheep with ringed eyes and noisy tails, and “witches” expert in natural herbs.
Episode 3 takes place in Romagna with Luca Zingaretti. In the land of fun, Cracco and Zingaretti get up to everything and more: from an impromptu football match to ballroom dancing on the beach. Amidst carbohydrates, dancing and forbidden ingredients, the strange couple discover that they identify with the pronouncement of the great maestro Federico Fellini who summed up the sense of life as a wonderful mix of magic and pasta.
In episode 4, Carlo Cracco drives through eastern Sicily with Marco Giallini. From the southernmost tip of the island to Mount Etna, they travel in search of a secret ingredient and the most succulent treasures of the territory: along the way, they discover enchanting landscapes, unforgettable dishes and wonderful people.
