Fort Pozzacchio is an Austro-Hungarian military fortress that was part of the Adige-Vallarsa Barrier (Subrayon III) in the great fortification system built on the Italian border. Located on the slopes of mount Pasubio, it was entirely dug out of a rocky promontory in the south east of the hamlet of Pozzacchio in Trambileno. It was a work of notable military engineering that, however, was never completed.
The fort develops on three levels connected by stairs in armoured cement. Inside, a complex system of canals and tanks collected rainwater. It can be reached by the military path from Pozzacchio or by mule track from the village of Valmorbia in Vallarsa.
