Palazzo Gazelli di Rossana in the historical centre of Asti is composed of several buildings located between via Quintino Sella and via San Martino. The palazzo, and adjacent square tower, is the result of combining various medieval buildings that were restructured in Baroque style by Benedetto Alfieri after 1726 on commission from the Cotti di Ceres e Scurzolengo family.
The building façade has plastered brickwork with rusticated pilaster strips and corniced windows. In 1840, the tower and palace became property of the Gazelli family, Counts of Rossana and lords of San Sebastiano e Selve. The palazzo nobile in via Sella includes the tower, Baroque atrium, internal courtyard and historic garden, while adjacent palace has two large courtyards, areas for working agricultural products, stables, animal stalls and warehouses.
