A masterpiece by Gian Giacomo Plantery, Palazzo Saluzzo Paesana in Via della Consolata in the heart of Turin, was once described as “the largest and most articulated example of a noble 18th century building”.
The Appartamento Padronale, where the Marquis of Saluzzo once resided, is situated on the piano nobile and spreads over communicating rooms: the Atrium, whose vault is decorated with frescoes inspired by the Judgement of Paris, the Sala dei Busti with busts celebrating the Saluzzo family of Paesana, crowned by a great fresco enriched with grisailles; the Sala del Consiglio, with gold leaf furnishings and an octagonal, coffered plaster ceiling dating to the early 1900s, and the Camera di Parata, which conserves the greatest quantity of original furnishing, whose ceiling and three overdoors were painted by Domenico Guidobono.
Today the Appartamento Padronale offers a location of unequalled charm for events of the highest prestige: luncheons and gala dinners, buffet receptions, club and association meetings, conferences, exhibitions and concerts, private events or photo and film shoots.
