The two apps, Castello Sforzesco and Duomo di Milano, have a similar setup: characters from the era and features of the buildings themselves come to life and tell their stories first-hand. In the app for the castle, the user is guided by the voices of the Sforza family and Leonardo da Vinci through various points of interest: as well as the big snake and eagle that come to life in the coat of arms of the Sforza family, they can enter the Ducal Chapel, decorated in Late Renaissance style, and then head towards the Portico of the Elephant and see the fresco of the animal. Another must-see is the Sala delle Asse with its frescoes by Leonardo da Vinci. In the app for the Duomo, there is a fun interaction with the gargoyles inside the cathedral and some interesting anecdotes about the windows.

Educational
The Art Stories apps tell the stories of Italian cities to little ones by combining education with interactivity. Using tablets and smartphones they can learn the history and details of selected Italian sites – for example the Sforza Castle and the Cathedral of Milan – and other cities all over the world. The apps can also be used at school or in the places featured, to allow children to explore them, colour them in or simply enjoy the illustrations of the young writers participating in the project.
