50 km all'ora is the Italian remake of 25 km/h, a German release from Sony Pictures International Production, a box office champion in 2018. Director Fabio De Luigi, who also wrote the screenplay with Giovanni Bognetti and stars with “brother” Stefano Accorsi, shot in a range of locations in Emilia-Romagna.
In addition to De Luigi and Accorsi, the cast includes Elisa Di Eusanio, Giorgia Arena, Barbara Abbondanza, Miriam Previati, with participation of Beatrice Schinos, Stefano Vito, Paolo Cevoli, Alessandro Haber, with a special appearance by Marina Massironi and with Simone Baldasseroni.
The road movie is a comedy about two brothers on a journey through their homeland (on beat-up scooters) and their emotions. A dive into the past rebuilds a lost relationship in the present.
Locations included Fanano and Pavullo nel Frignano (Modena); Lizzano in Belvedere (Bologna); Ravenna, the hamlets of Lido di Dante and Lido di Savio, Cervia; Cesena, Bertinoro, Borghi, San Giovanni in Galilea and Longiano (Forlì-Cesena); Comacchio (Ferrara) and some shots of Milan.
