A couple like many others lives in contemporary Milan: an engineer named Marco, played by Fabio Volo, and an architect named Anna, played by Vittoria Puccini. After a wonderful start to their relationship, the years of happy cohabitation and the birth of their son Tommaso (Ludovico Nava), they are now having a crisis. They both struggle to match professional opportunities and family, as they move around the city which features the surroundings of piazza Duomo, Martesana park, the Naviglio Grande towpath, Milano cycle path, Martini terrace in piazza Diaz and Baden-Powell Park.
They appear to be at a point of no return: Anna wants a separation, Marco no. They decide to give their relationship one last chance and – keeping the promise made to their son – set off in a camper van to Norway, land of the Vikings.
In addition to locations in Milan, scenes were shot in a sports centre in Fiumicino and in Rome, at the Da Vinci center, the school gates in via Livenza and several private interiors.
