The town of Diamante (Cosenza) is located in the centre of the riviera dei Cedri, on the north-eastern Tyrrheniancoast. It is a very popular seaside destination with 8km of beaches and one of Calabria’s two islands, the island ofCirella.
The painter Nani Razzetti had the idea of enlivening the town’s historical centre in 1981 and Diamante now has over 200 murals decorating its houses, created by 83 artists from all over the world.
The town’s principal places of interest include Lungomare Vecchio, which flanks the port area to the south and the 17th century Church of the Immaculate Conception.
