Boccadasse is an ancient fishing village in the Albaro neighbourhood of Genoa, located between corso Italia and capo Santa Chiara. Surrounded by the urban city, it has retained its historical conformation with pastel-coloured houses huddled close together around a small bay still frequented by fishermen.
The borgo can be reached by walking along the seashore on the path that starts in piazza Rossetti and continues along corso Italia which links to the Foce area, and by the cycle path that beings in piazza De Ferrari. Corso Italia features the Church of St. Peter, the San Giuliano Fort, the Abbey of San Giuliano, the Nuovo Lido swimming resort and the Church of St Anthony in Boccadasse.
Crueze, traditional pedestrian brick stairs, lead from Boccadasse to the viewpoint of capo Santa Chiara, and the fishing village of Vernazza and its beach.
