Connected by a stream, the Colbricon lakes are located in a splendid valley overlooked by the Colbricon summit (Lagorai chain) in the Paneveggio-Pale di San Martino natural park, between the Rolle and Colbricon passes.
Glacial in origin, they stand 1,909 and 1,922 m. above sea level respectively and surrounded by dwarf bushes, rhododendrons and junipers.
The most convenient support point is the Colbricon refuge at 1,927 metres on the eastern shore of the larger lake.
