Io che amo solo te is an adventurous journey into love which comes – or rather returns – when least expected, which puts people back in the game, taking them where it decides. It is just like the mistral wind that blows throughout the three days of the story which takes place against the backdrop of a Puglia dominated by ancient values and glorious beauty.
Polignano a Mare (province of Bari), perched on a cliffside, is present in all its glory: the beach, the turquoise sea, the white alleyways shining in the summer sun, the monument to its famous son Domenico Modugno, the church. Most of the film was shot here, while the terrace of the workshop of sculptor Peppino Campanella, transformed into a bar for the occasion, provided the setting for the betrayal. Several scenes late, at the Masseria Spina in Monopoli (BA) the results will be seen.
As in every fairy tale, however, the wedding takes place: although there are many twists and turns left for the epilogue, when everything comes to the surface at the relais Il Santissimo in Turi (BA).
Many interior scenes involved Fasano (BR) and Martina Franca (TA).
