A sunny Polignano a Mare (BA) is preparing for the Christmas holidays. The opening scenes of the film are dedicated to the village perched on a rocky spur in Apulia, featuring the coastline, the fishermen’s coloured boats, the blazing white historical centre where narrow alleyways open onto little squares, and the seafront walk named for its famous resident Domenico Modugno with its view overlooking the Hermit’s rock.
When Don Mimi tells Damiano of his decision to leave the business, father and son are on the Costa dei Trulli. Don Mimi is having problems with his great love, Ninella: in Cala Porto, the village’s little pebble beach which gently slopes towards an emerald sea, he suggests that they go to Paris. Damiano confesses a problem to Father Gianni in the Church of Santa Maria Assunta, updating him several scenes later near the Abbey of San Vito.
On Christmas Day, Ninella and Mimi are at the station of Fasano (BR), ready to leave when they get news that puts everything into perspective: the inevitable Christmas miracle (with snow) has taken place near the masseria Spina in Monopoli (BA). More interiors sequences were shot in Martina Franca (TA).

The Scagliusi family and their friends met up at the home of Don Mimi for dinner of Christmas Eve but they are all a little agitated. With hysterical outbursts, pregnancies, broken elevators, lost rings, found rings and plot twists, anything can, and does, happen
