In Uncharted 4, Nathan comes to Italy and the Amalfi Coast, where he must infiltrate a fictitious villa. Nonetheless, no specific town is mentioned, and the Gulf of Salerno remains in the background. Unfortunately the voices of the staff of the villa imitate the local accent with debatable results.
Not only the Amalfi Coast features though. In chapter 16, the two Drake brothers secretly enter a house-museum in search of their mother’s diaries. Among the things they find in the house is a sarcophagus that clearly mimics the Sarcophagus of the Spouses, which is located in Rome at the National Etruscan Museum in Villa Giulia, with another housed in the Louvre in Paris. In the sequence set in Madagascar, the ruined dome of a big building is instead reminiscent of the panelled ceiling of the Pantheon.

Uncharted 4 marks the end of the adventures of Nathan Drake, a character created by Naughty Dog and clearly inspired by both Indiana Jones and Lara Croft. As opposed to the early Tomb Raider games, the Uncharted series has a high-powered shooter element, which acts as a counterweight to the exploration element. Over the course of the series, Drake has visited various locations, on adventures inspired by myths and legends: from Panama to Nepal, from Yemen to Scotland, passing of course through Italy along the way.
