Pezzi Unici is a crime story set in the world of Florence’s artisan workshops. Grumpy Vanni, a master woodworker, decides to continue running the workshop his son Lorenzo set up for disadvantaged youths. The workshop is in via Muzzi in Prato, where the via degli Artigiani was created to stand in for San Frediano, once the historical setting for Florentine artisans. Artisans were key to the development of Florence, with the Arts and Professions guilds contributing to transform the city into the cradle of the Renaissance. And Florence, with its squares, Santa Maria del Fiore and Ponte Vecchio is always present. The capital city of Tuscany also provided the Antico Setificio Fiorentino, a small workshop that has made precious fabrics since 1786.
