Lake Pellicone is located nearby the Bridge and Castle of the Abbadia which houses the National Archaeological Museum and the Archaeological Nature Park of the ancient city of Vulci, between the municipalities of Montalto di Castro and Canino. It is a body of water with annexed a small waterfall, completely surrounded by walls of volcanic rock and unspoiled vegetation. It represents a small oase of peace for those who venture through the trekking routes of Vulci Park, discovering the excavations of the ancient city and the beautiful Etruscan tombs present on the territory. Lake Pellicone was chosen as a natural set for the shooting of many films such as Tre uomini e una Gamba and Non ci resta che piangere and of the TV series The Name of the Rose starring John Turturro and Rupert Everett.
