The first chapter of the game is set in Venice: the protagonist, antiques dealer Malachi Rector, must investigate the death of Bianca Cardolo, a young noblewoman who has been killed in mysterious circumstances. The city is represented through a map of the narrow streets, while the locations in which the action takes place are the interior of the victim’s home, in which the woman lived with her husband, an antique shop and two exterior locations. Malachi meets Detective Brunetta on the bridge on which the crime took place. Later on, he contacts and meets a friend of the victim at a bar in the square in front of the Doge’s Palace.

A graphic adventure financed using crowdfunding and written by Jane Jensen, the author of the successful Gabriel Knight saga. The protagonist is Malachi Rector, an antiques dealer who is assigned the task of investigating strange murders: the victim’s biographies match up perfectly with those of historical figures. In the prologue he is given the case of Giuseppe Montessero, a young architect whose life mirrors that of Rafael.
