Where it was filmed 'Bread and Tulips'

Mimmo and Rosalba are on holiday in Paestum (SA) with their children. The guide points out the Temple of Ceres and the other monuments in the archaeological area. Once the trip is over, the group stops for a break at a motorway café and it is here that Rosalba, having been forgotten by the rest of the group, decides to head for Venice rather than make her way back to Pescara. By the time she reaches Piazzale Roma, the main road leading to the capital of the Veneto region, Rosalba has decided that she will stay just the one night, just so she can see Piazza San Marco. However, a series of events will lead to her extending her “holiday” to the extent that she even finds herself a job in a (fictional) flower shop in Campiello dei Miracoli. Upset with this choice, her husband commissions an investigator-plumber to look for her who finds lodgings on a barge moored in Fondamenta Santa Giustina. His search starts in the centre of the city: in a moment of unease, Caponangeli sits on the steps leading to the Ponte della Corte Nova. He meets Rosalba in Campo do Pozzi, a large square with a well at its centre. Ferdinando’s house has its exteriors near Campo Santa Maria del Giglio, a few minutes walk from Piazza San Marco, to get there Rosalba passes Campazzo San Sebastiano. Ferdinando’s nephew lives in Quartiere Santa Marta and goes to school near Campo San Francesco della Vigna.

Some streets in Mestre (VE) were used as exteriors for Pescara (supermarket and Caponangeli’s mother’s house).
