Based on French comedy C'est la vie (2017), Il Giorno Più Bello was shot in 6 weeks in Turin and San Giorgio Canavese. Turin, the capital city of Piedmont, provided many picturesque settings (including Palazzo Civico, Circolo Esperia, Hotel Golden Palace), while the central location for the story is BiandrateCastle in San Giorgio Canavese which hosted the cast and crew for approximately 5 weeks. The imposing building was chosen as the location for the last wedding of Aurelio’s (Paolo Kessisoglu) career, which he hopes will convince Dr Musso (Carlo Buccirosso) to buy his business, On the day of the reception he discovers that the bride is Musso’s daughter so he needs to make it the wedding of the century.
