Corro da te is a remake of the French film Tout le monde debout (Rolling to you) written, directed by and starring Franck Dubosc which was released in Italy in 2018 as Tutti in piedi.
The Italian version, starring Pierfrancesco Favino and Miriam Leone, is set in Rome, mostly in the Ostiense neighbourhood. Gianni is a successful businessman who runs a sports footwear company and is training for the Milan marathon: his training route features the ponte della Scienza, which links lungotevere Vittorio Gassman to the Gazometro area. The Cestia Pyramid, a symbol of the neighbourhood, makes an appearance before a dinner with friends. A scene was also shot near Castel Sant’Angelo and part of lungotevere nearby.
Turin plays an important part in the film. Chiara plays wheelchair tennis at the Stampa Sporting club, as Gianni watches in admiration from the bleachers; determined to seduce her, he comes to her concert at the Regio Theatre and, after the performance, takes her to dinner at the Cambio Restaurant where they are entertained by his clumsiness. The evening continues in via Roma where Gianni and Chiara let their respective wheelchairs take them through the night, hand in hand; the Palatine gates provide the background to the scene of the return to the hotel.
The centre of Venaria Reale was also used for the shoot: via Mensa was transformed into a street in Lourdes.
