Betty decides to go to Milan from the Porta Nuova Station in Turin. The Mole Antonelliana and the Basilica of Superga can be seen in some scenes. In the final scene, Vince, Cate and Romeo are in snowy Bardonecchia in upper Val di Susa.

Turin, 1987. Betty, a high school teacher, is having an affair with Umberto, a bored university docent. The students in her class include aspiring writer Vince, 17, who is in love with the girl who sits next to him, Cate who, however, eventually falls for Romeo, Vince’s best friend and Umberto’s son.
