Where it was filmed 'Nata per te'

Can a little girl rejected by the world become the prize of a lifetime? Nata per te directed by Fabio Mollo was inspired by the true story of Luca Trapanese, the first homosexual father in Italy who eventually managed to adopt a little girl, Alba. The film explores Trapanese’s fight for custody of the baby girl whom the court wanted to assign to a 'traditional' family. His story is told in a book he wrote with Luca Mercadante, on which the film is based.

The film shows his tough legal battle amidst the complicated legislation that regulates custody in Italy, and more: it tells the story about the life of a man, of a community, and a little girl rejected by the world and the great love between a father and a daughter.

The six-week shoot, which began on 19 September 2022, took place mainly in Naples and Ischia. The cast includes Pierluigi Gigante, Teresa Saponangelo, Barbora Bobulova, Alessandro Piavani, Antonia Truppo and Iaia Forte. The film was written by Giulia Calenda, Furio Andreotti and Fabio Mollo.
