Where it was filmed 'What a Beautiful Surprise'

Naples, romantic and easygoing, provides a bittersweet backdrop to the story.

Guido is a teacher of literature who celebrates love in all its forms, through literature and the flowers he buys his girlfriend everyday. Everyday he happily cycles through the historic centre of the city, and before going home he stops to buy his usual bunch of flowers.

And even afterwards, when Anna leaves him and Guido seems happy with Silvia, we see him eating an ice cream near the Pontile di Castel dell’Ovo, where he meets his ex-girlfriend.

Guido is inspired by his strange story to write a book, which he presents at Palazzo Venezia, in Via Benedetto Croce.
