Where it was filmed 'Mina Settembre'

Based on the stories by Maurizio de Giovanni, Mina Settembre (Serena Rossi) is a social worker in the rione Sanità, in Naples, based in the historic Palazzo Sanfelice. Every morning, Mina takes the Montesanto funicular that links Vomero neighbourhood with the city below and is one of the three similar systems in the city to work.

Recurring locations in the series include the Centro Direzionale, with the court house and offices where Claudio works, and the seashore, present in almost every episode with mount Vesuvius in the background. Further locations also included via Partenope, the little harbour of Mergellina, Borgo Marinari with the Circolo Reale "Yacht Club Canottieri Savoia", Castel dell’Ovo, and the Rotonda Diaz beach.

Other places featured over the various episodes include Villa Doria d’Angri dell’Università Parthenope on Posillipo hill as the luxurious residence of a classmate of Gianluca. At the central Università Federico II building in corso Umberto I, a library is inaugurated in memory of Vittorio, Mina’s father, a famous optician. The Bourbon gallery, an underground tunnel commissioned by Ferdinand II in the mid 1800s, provides a refuge for a homeless tramp.

Outside of Naples, Vietri sul Mare on the Amalfi Coast is an important location in the story where Mina goes to find out more about her father’s past.
