She reinvents herself as coach to her husband Art (Mike Faist), a promising tennis player in decline, and enrols him in the Challenger Tour, where she finds ex-boyfriend Patrick (Josh O'Connor), rekindling old rivalries.
Challengers was filmed mostly in Boston in spring 2022. Some scenes were shot at Cinecittà Studios in Rome.
