Act 2 is set mainly in Sardinia. Filming took place in two villas in Porto Cervo and Porto Rotondo (Tiger Bay) and in Baja Sardinia (OT).
Scenes were also shot in Tuscany, in a private villa in Orbetello (GR) and at the Golf Hotel Resort in Porto Ercole (GR), where the private party featuring a table full of young women at Villa Certosa was reconstructed.
In 2009 an earthquake unexpectedly destroyed Aquila. One of the scenes was filmed in Progetto Case di Sassa Scalo (AQ), while the moving epilogue, in which a statue of Christ is recovered from the ruins of a church, was filmed in the ruins that still stand to this day in Amatrice, which was hit by an earthquake in 2016, and more specifically in what’s left of the Church of San Francesco.
Some shots also took place inside the Cinecittà Studios.
