Where it was filmed 'Ginger and Fred'

A decadent Rome greets Amelia Bonetti on her arrival, one overrun by degradation with half-naked women smiling seductively from advertising hoardings. While the interiors, especially those for the TV show in the second half of the film, were built in Cinecittà Studios, the exteriors were shot in the south west outskirts of Rome, in viale Castello della Magliana, including the hotel where the TV show guests are staying and the building of the Centro Spaziale Televisivo, the so-called Esso building, a fan-shaped structure designed in 1977 by the Spanish architect Julio Lafuente and the engineer Gaetano Rebecchini near the banks of the River Tiber.
