The film tells the story of twins, physically identical spiritual opposites who live contrasting lives. Marked as children by the trauma of their family’s annihilation, the sisters seek redemption in the race for power and success in prestigious but different settings: one works with a powerful man in high finance (F. Murray Abraham); the other has built a career in the art world. Their distant lives intersect when they become the pawns of people looking for revenge. They have to fight to prevent themselves from becoming the victims of more manipulation and powerplay by affirming their individuality.
The Italian locations of the film include Rome: Castel Sant’Angelo, the Colosseum and the Palazzo della Civiltà Italiana (also known as the Square Colosseum) which dominates the EUR neighbourhood are all featured. When the story shifts, the desert and futuristic skyscrapers of Dubai become the frame.
